The Maharashtra Government will begin the first instalment of the Ladki Bahin Scheme, and women will receive Rs 1,500 per month. This scheme will be a huge step towards women's empowerment and a great initiative from the Maharashtra government as women will not be financially dependent on someone else and can get proper nutrition without worrying.
The first instalment of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme will be a wonderful rakhi gift for all the women from the government. On Wednesday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar were in the Gadchiroli district for the foundation stone laying ceremony for Surjagad Ispat Pvt Ltd.
"We are working towards releasing the first instalment of the 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' during the Rakshabandhan festival from August 15 to August 19," Fadnavis informed media persons after attending the event.
Under the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme, married, divorced, and destitute women aged 21-60 will receive Rs 1,500 per month, with the annual family income of beneficiaries capped at Rs 2.5 lakh.
This year, Raksha Bandhan is on 19th August, and the Maharashtra government has ensured that women can celebrate Raksha Bandhan with ultimate zeal as they will get financial assistance through the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme. The scheme provides Rs 1,500 per month to married, divorced, and destitute women aged 21-60, offering much-needed support and security. This initiative aims to empower women, allowing them to enjoy the festivities without financial stress, and making this Raksha Bandhan particularly special and memorable for them.
In response to the opposition's call to extend the registration cut-off date for the financial assistance scheme beyond July 15, Fadnavis announced that applicants who submit forms by August 31 will receive the installments for both July and August in the following month.
"We will ensure that no one is left out from the scheme's ambit," said Mr Fadnavis.
The Ladki Bahin Yojana, recently announced by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar in the state budget, is being promoted by the ruling coalition of Shiv Sena (led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde), BJP, and NCP as they gear up for the upcoming assembly
